This includes those who availed of liar loans or mortgages without income verification. Let’s also include the so called “get rich quick flippers/investors” who were caught in the trap.

No. Everyone should be responsible for their own finances. Where’s the help for those who are responsible and pay their mortgages? Government could help by making personal finance classes mandatory in schools so that people would not get themselves into these situations.

  1. Nope, the lenders should..Did no one see this coming? The housing situation was a bubble waiting to burst..Now, there are thousands of people who are up a creek..Cant believe no one saw this coming..

    the majority of the nation knew what they could afford and are living within their means of income.

    Let those that were greedy living the high life in a house they knew they could never afford with liar loans and spending phony equity that never existed sink to the bottom of the pond. maybe they will learn something next round.
